Casey Canevari is senior manager, global trade development (Canada) for Brand USA, the nation’s destination marketing organization with the mission of increasing international visitation to the United States, fueling the nation’s economy and enhancing the image of the USA worldwide. In this role, Casey cultivates and maintains day-to-day relationships with partners in the Canadian market, with responsibilities including market activations, co-op marketing programs, and budget overviews.
Prior to joining Brand USA, Casey held positions at various DMOs, including time spent as a Marketing Manager at Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, where he was in the inaugural class of Destinations International’s 30 Under 30 program. Most recently, he worked for Audley Travel as a senior sales manager on their Africa team. Casey also runs his own consulting business where he helps indigenous communities get started on their tourism marketing journeys. He received his bachelor's degree in Travel & Tourism Management from Johnson & Wales University before continuing on to receive his master’s in Tourism Administration from The George Washington University. He also earned a professional certificate in Sustainable Tourism Destination Management.
Casey is an avid hiker and enjoys spending his time exploring the mountains of New England year-round. He is originally from Warwick, New York, and has ventured to 30 countries and 31 states. His favorite travel memory is seeing elephants for the first time on a safari in Africa and recommends the continent as his favorite travel destination.
